Cisco UBE
The Cisco Unified Border Element range of VoIP equipment will support ENUM lookup for SIP to SIP telephone calls by doing a lookup as part of the call setup stage.
To achieve this there are a number of steps to be carried out:
- Make sure that the DNS server on the CUBE can make public lookups
- Allow SIP to SIP calls
- Create a ENUM lookup table
- Edit the ENUM table to adjust the number dialled into the correct format for ENUM use
- Add a rule to use the ENUM lookup
- Verify that the lookup is as expected
